The Rooms
We have twenty rooms at Emin Pasha, as well as one self contained private flat for longer stays. Each room is different in terms of layout, size and decor, but all are decorated with the everchanging African landscape in mind.
The owners have stayed in many hotel rooms around the world and have collected inspiration from all the continents for the rooms at Emin Pasha.
Each room features hardwood furniture, Egyptian cotton sheets, summer-weight duvets, giant soft towels, long deep cast iron bathtubs (salvaged from derelict colonial buildings and re-enameled) or giant tropical 'monsoon' showers with African slate floors. Floors in the rooms are made of reconstituted stone and are cool underfoot (very welcome in Equatorial Africa), and each room has at least one oversized armchair or sofa...perfect for curling into with a good book or magazine.
Molton Brown toiletries and oversized bathrobes are a nod to the 'spa culture' (we also have in-house massage, reflexology and beauty treatments), and to calm your frazzled nerves, each room looks out through french doors over lush gardens or courtyards. Most rooms have small private terraces or sitting areas. There are no endless miles of soulless carpeted hallways here - our room are all accessed directly from outside, and many also have a second door leading straight out into the gardens.
All the rooms have air-conditioning,tea and coffee making facilities, direct dial telephones, internet and satellite television.
